3. Collection and Use of Your Data

All personal data we collect from you will only be collected, processed, and used for the specified purpose. In doing so, we ensure that this only happens within the scope of the respective applicable legal provisions or otherwise only with your consent. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to free information about your stored data at any time, as well as, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking, or deletion of this data. In accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, you can object to the processing of your data in the cases mentioned there. Please contact datenschutz(at)hydromapper.de or send us your request by mail.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority for data protection:

The scope and type of collection and use of your data differ depending on whether you visit our website only to retrieve information or whether you make use of services offered by us:

3. a) Internet Use

For purely informational use of our website, it is generally not necessary for you to provide personal data. Instead, in this case, we only collect and use those of your data that your internet browser transmits to us automatically, such as:

• Date and time of accessing one of our web pages
• Your browser type
• The browser settings
• The operating system used
• The last page you visited
• The amount of data transferred and the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
• Your IP address.

We collect and use this data during an informational visit exclusively in non-personal form. This is done to enable the use of the web pages you have accessed in the first place, for statistical purposes, and to improve our website. We store the IP address only for the duration of your visit; no personalized analysis takes place. This data is not merged with other data sources, and the data is also deleted after statistical analysis. According to the decision of the European Court of Justice of 19.10.2016 (Case No.: C 582/14), this is permissible, also in view of the Telemedia Act.

3. b) Use of Offers or Data Usage for Task Fulfillment

If you wish to make use of services offered by us, it may be necessary for you to provide further data. This refers to the data required for the respective processing. You can optionally provide further details; these are marked as optional accordingly. The collection or use of your data is for the purpose of providing the required service you requested. For the aforementioned purpose, your data may be forwarded to service providers supporting us, whom we have of course carefully selected and obligated to comply with data protection law. These may, in particular, be technical service providers or shipping providers. Your data will otherwise only be passed on to other third parties if this is legally permitted or if we have received your explicit consent for this.

4. Consent Under Data Protection Law

Beyond processing the services you request, we would like to offer a website tailored to your interests — of course, only if you explicitly consent to this in a separate section. For this purpose, it is technically necessary for us to aggregate your generated and specified data into user profiles and analyze them for the aforementioned purposes. This is done purely internally and only for the aforementioned purposes. We may also require your consent to publish images that are subject to your copyright or on which you are depicted. You can give your consent separately and revoke it at any time with effect for the future. Consent regarding cookies and tracking technology is governed by Section 6 of this policy below.

5. Newsletter

In order to register for our email newsletter service, we require, in addition to your consent under data protection law, at least your email address to which the newsletter is to be sent. Any further details are voluntary and will be used to address you personally, to customize the content of the newsletter, and to clarify queries regarding the email address. We use the double opt-in procedure for sending newsletters, meaning we will only send you the newsletter if you have previously confirmed your registration via a link contained in a confirmation email sent to you for this purpose. This is to ensure that only you, as the owner of the specified email address, can subscribe to the newsletter. Your confirmation must be completed promptly after receiving the confirmation email, otherwise your newsletter registration will be automatically deleted from our database. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. You can either send us an informal email or unsubscribe using the link at the end of the newsletter.

6. Use of Cookies

We use cookie technology for our website. Cookies are small text files sent from our web server to your browser during your visit to our website and stored on your computer for later retrieval. We also use so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons allow information such as visits to our websites to be analyzed. The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including the user's IP address) and the delivery of advertising may also be transmitted to servers of Google LLC in the European Union and the USA and stored there (see Section 8). The transferred data cannot be merged with other data stored by you. You can determine whether cookies can be set and retrieved through the settings in your browser. For example, you can completely disable the storage of cookies in your browser, restrict it to certain websites, or configure your browser to automatically notify you as soon as a cookie is to be set and ask for your feedback. However, for technical reasons, it is necessary to allow session cookies for the full functionality of our website. Since the General Data Protection Regulation came into force on May 25, 2018, we will obtain your explicit consent for the use of cookies before using them.

7. Right of Revocation and Objection

We point out that you can revoke any consent granted to us under data protection law at any time with effect for the future. If there are legal requirements for data collection, there is no right of revocation.

8. Use of Statistical Analysis Tools like Google Analytics

It is important to us to design our web pages as optimally as possible and thus make them attractive to our visitors. To do this, we need to know how our visitors use the different parts of our site.

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google LLC ("Google"). Google Analytics also uses cookies, which are text files stored on your computer that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet use to us as website operators. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by configuring your browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

9. Data Security

We also deploy technical and organizational security measures to protect generated or collected personal data, in particular against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or against attacks by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously upgraded in line with technological developments. We provide online forms with which you can send personal data to us. These forms are protected against viewing by third parties through the use of TLS encryption. The data you enter or transmit to us as a file can be stored by us and processed as agreed. If the use and processing require the consent of the user or third parties, consent can be revoked at any time without giving reasons. In this case, however, the performance of the contract by us may be impaired.

Depending on the service, you may be requested to make various entries for identification or to prevent abuse:

9.a) For identification when delivering data, the entry of a user-defined ID or other suitable authentication may be required. The data is protected against access by third parties via SFTP or HTTPS, provided the user uses the data transmission paths recommended by us.

9. b) To prevent automated automated access by machines, so-called CAPTCHAs can be used, which contain images or tasks that cannot be processed by computer scripts.

10. Deletion Periods

We store personal data only as long as the purpose of the data storage no longer applies, and provided that no legal retention periods or limitation periods of data potentially useful for legal enforcement prevent deletion

(in this case, processing of the data is restricted in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR).

The technical infrastructure for operating this website is provided by framer.com as a data processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
